Being a certified trained applicator of Artenova by Safra, at the School of Italian Plasters, we use authentic Italian Plasters, imported from Verona, Italy for some of our applications. We apply with the traditional European method, which dates back thousands of years, plus a more decorative approach, giving it a fresh new look to plastered walls! These plasters are "Green" to the enviroment, non toxic, and non-flammable. They create an allergy free enviroment, resists the growth of mold, bacteria, mildew, and dust mites. The lime plasters cure back to limestone and help absorb moisture in the air. This is very beneficial in helping to control humidity. Even though the lime hardens and calcifies, it remains "breathable".
Veneziano, Safra's polished plaster, does not require a wax or top coat to achieve it's mirror like shine. Waxes contain high levels of VOC's and would compromise the "green" status. Veneziano is applied and polished with a trowel, sealing and burnishing the plaster to give it the shine it is famous for. It is very durable, waterproof, and can be used inside or out.
