The Artisan's at Peacock Artistic Finishes strive to give their client the best job that they can possibly achieve, paying great attention to detail. Comprised of three generations.... mother, daughter, granddaughter, working together and combining our talents. No job is too small or large, as we have additional assistant's that are brought in when needed, tapping into their area of expertise.
We specializing in the authentic Italian plasters, Inganno Fresco, faux finishes ( pronounced - Foe), marbling, distressed painted furniture and cabinets, old world textures, murals, trompe L'oeil (fool the eye), plus much more. Color consulting at your home or business is available to help you in selecting colors, style and accessories. A complete custom frame shop and art gallery is on site to assist you in the framing of your art work, where we are trained in the conservation framing and handling of your items. We also have available an antique mall to help with your decorating needs.
Classes are available to teach the finishes we apply for our clients. Students range from people wanting to do something in their own home, to professionals adding a new look to their portfolio. Our Classes are filled with techniques allowing you to use a wide range of materials, both purchased from your local paint supplier, to ordering online for specialty items. This allows us the freedom to use more than just one product and are not restricted to company guidelines. We have scheduled classes, plus customized classes for groups or crews wanting to learn specific techniques. We offer the basics and the latest trends that you see in the show homes and magazines. After taking a class, you will come away with the knowledge and confidence of how to apply these finishes for your personal use or a career.
We are located in Egypt, Texas, a laid back rural community just southwest of Houston. The minute you arrive you will know this isn't your typical school.....You will step back in time when you come to the 1830's Plantation that is still owned and operated by Heard-Northington descendents, of the original settlers that came here with Stephen F. Austin. We have one of the largest privately owned museums in Texas, filled with history of the area. The 1849 Georgian Revival Plantation House hosts tours,and has facilities for Bed and Breakfast, weddings, receptions, reunions, and events.
